The root wood of the native tree heath, which grows around the Mediterranean, becomes so firm and dense over time that it resists both the heat of the tobacco burning and the resulting juice. For these handmade pipes, the Bruyère wood had to be stored for 10 years. The pipes are made in Germany and elegantly finished in smooth matt black. Each wears a ring made of maple wood, matching the color codes of the tobaccos.
