Meerschaum is a mineral substance with a special structure of countless small pores. These make it highly absorbent, especially for condensate produced during smoking, making the use of filters unnecessary. Meerschaum is fireproof and tasteless. The meerschaum pipe is dipped in liquid beeswax at the end of the manufacturing process. This wax bath causes the pipe bowl to change color while smoking.

Smoking and care

• Smoking the Meerschaum pipe is no longer necessary
• Smoking too hot will cause the wax in the pipe bowl to sink to the bottom and the pipe bowl will not color evenly.
• Do not place the meerschaum pipe on cool surfaces while smoking, as sudden cooling can cause cracks in the pipe bowl.
